Upcycled products made from lanyards

What often ends up carelessly thrown away after an event gets a second life here – and what a life it is! Through creative upcycling, used and carefully refurbished BERNEXPO wristbands are transformed into new products with character: bags with a sophisticated folded design, colorful bracelets, keychains, and unique one-of-a-kind pieces.

From event wristband to unique item

With a keen eye for material and design, the lanyards are cleaned, sorted, and lovingly handcrafted. The characteristic folding technique gives the products their distinctive look. No two combinations are alike – each design arises from the individual mix of the straps.

Handcraft with attitude

Franziska Aeschimann's products are manufactured in collaboration with social institutions in Bern. Each piece thus represents not only sustainable recycling, but also meaningful work and a tangible commitment to social responsibility. Upcycling here becomes a true community project – with added value on all levels.
