BERNEXPO AG has closed the 2025 financial year on a solid note, with a high turnover of around CHF 56 million and an EBITDA of around CHF 4.7 million. CEO Tom Winter will be taking on a new role outside BERNEXPO in the second half of 2026, and Bruno Battaglia will become the new CFO.
Peter Stähli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BERNEXPO AG, will not stand for re-election at the next Annual General Meeting in May 2026, following the expiry of his third term of office. Board member Pascal Jenny is expected to succeed him in due course.
The BERNEXPO GROUPE has had a relatively quiet yet eventful financial year. The past year was actively used to systematically drive forward marketing and business development efforts for the successful operation of the new Festhalle. This is reflected in the financial results presented at today’s Annual General Meeting.
Under the slogan ‘BIG TIME’, the new festival hall was officially opened on Friday, coinciding with the BEA spring fair and attended by numerous guests of honour. This marks the start of a new era for events in Bern and is generating great excitement with the many concerts and events already planned.
BERNEXPO AG has decided to organise the Bern Wine Fair itself in future, thereby ensuring the long-term future of this long-standing event.
Work on the new festival hall is progressing rapidly: the striking façade of the multi-purpose building is now fully visible. What’s more, a huge LED wall in the CUBE is setting new standards in conference infrastructure. This appeal is proving a hit: stars such as Gotthard & Krokus, Felix Lobrecht and Mario Barth, as well as numerous conference organisers, have already chosen the new Festhalle.
The BERNEXPO GROUPE has had an eventful financial year. For the first time in three years, events were able to take place as normal right from the start of the year. 2023 was a particularly busy year in terms of the number of events and the utilisation of the infrastructure. This is demonstrated by the financial figures presented at today’s Annual General Meeting.
